What is fixed appliance testing?

Fixed appliance testing covers electrical equipment that is permanently wired into your building's electrical supply - appliances that cannot be simply unplugged and taken away for testing. This includes fixed heaters, cookers, hobs, hand dryers, and other hard-wired equipment commonly found in commercial and business premises.

Although fixed appliances fall outside the scope of standard portable appliance testing, they still require regular inspection and testing to maintain electrical safety compliance. Our engineers carry out thorough checks to identify faults, damage or deterioration before they become a hazard.
